It has many meanings…it symbolizes good luck as it is resilient and survives the harshness of winter or difficult circumstances and is a source of inspiration and symbolizes enlightenment. This special piece was created as a funeral urn for a loved one or simply as a decorative art piece for your home. I threw it on the wheel and then carved bamboo while leather hard before glazing it with a sage Korean Celadon glaze. I then carefully applied a liquid gold lustre and refined it at a lower temperature.
